Brayshaw will notch his 100th AFL game in Saturday's AFL semi-final against Collingwood, having developed into one of the league's finest young midfielders.
The 22-year-old won the Leigh Matthews Trophy as the AFLPA's most valuable player and claimed his maiden All-Australian berth, while helping Fremantle to fifth on the ladder and an elimination final win.
Fellow Victorian and 2017 draft mate Adam Cerra departed for Carlton last year.
But Brayshaw, who extended his contract until the end of 2025 in December 2020, said he'd never contemplated leaving.
"Definitely glad I've stuck it out," he told reporters on Friday.
"I've fallen in love with this club and my teammates and it's never really been in question.
"People around me have really helped support me through my first five years at the club and I have no intention of leaving."
Fremantle's first finals berth since 2015 marks a big change from Brayshaw's first four seasons, when the Dockers finished 14th, 13th, 12th and 11th.
"It's definitely been a grind," he said.
"Looking back on the first couple of years, there were definitely some challenging periods, getting beaten convincingly some weeks and struggling with form at times.
"But I've found some consistency this year, really happy with how individually I've been playing and then the group as well have been able to front up week to week, which is really exciting."
Brayshaw said the Dockers, who will be based on the east coast until their campaign ends, were trying to embrace and enjoy the limelight typically given to rivals West Coast as they eye a breakthrough flag.
"We want to win a premiership at the end of the day and we want to be the first group that have done it for Fremantle," Brayshaw said.
"So if we were able to achieve that, that would be amazing."
