After the success of last year’s event, council decided to bring the recruitment day back for a second year, which aims to streamline the recruitment process and make a career in early childhood education more accessible.
Attendees will be able to meet council’s Children Services team, experience informal interviews and potentially secure a position.
Feedback to applicants will be delivered within two weeks, making the recruitment process quicker and more efficient.
Council manager early years operations and reform Stacey East said council was looking forward to helping potential employees through the event.
“We are eager to meet potential employees who are passionate about early childhood education, and this event will help individuals join our team in a way that is far less daunting than usual,” she said.
“We’re confident this recruitment day will attract talented, dedicated people to make a real difference in the lives of children across Greater Shepparton.”
Positions on offer at the event will include roles at council’s long day care and kindergarten services.
Early childhood teacher Madi Sewell said working in early years was rewarding.
“I encourage anyone passionate about shaping the future of young children to apply and take the first step towards a fulfilling career,” she said.
The Empowering Early Years Recruitment Day will be on Wednesday, October 23 at the McIntosh Centre in Shepparton from 3pm to 5.30pm.
