The spring market encourages locals and visitors alike to shop locally in the lead-up to Christmas.
Kyabram Chamber of Commerce president Deanne Stagg knows there is always plenty on offer up the street on the day.
“In 2024, we changed up the kids activities with more family fun,” Mrs Stagg said.
“Quite a few different and varied outside traders come into town for the day.
“The service organisations set up down the street, so people can get information from them, as well.’’
There is a community element to the market, with local traders and many food choices from different businesses.
“There is everything, for all ages, all walks of life,” Mrs Stagg said.
The Kyabram Spring Market offers Lucky Shopper voucher giveaways from participating businesses that are members of the Kyabram Chamber of Commerce.
The vouchers can only be used on the day of the market and the next day, Saturday and will be randomly handed out at the market.
A highlight of every year is the Kyabram traders’ sidewalk sales, which this year continues all day Friday and Saturday morning.
Mrs Stagg hopes for good weather, which will always add to the event’s success.
“It is a good day with all the people in town — it adds to the atmosphere and that is a big part of having the spring market,” she said.
“I don’t think there are many other things like the spring market around, where the street is closed and there is a market, that makes it a draw card.”
At the Kyabram Spring Market, you'll find more than 40 general and community-based stallholders offering an eclectic mix of products.
From honey to arts and crafts, plants to homewares, jewellery to handmade body and bath products, there's something for everyone.
Buskers bring the sounds of the Kyabram RV Country Music Festival to the street.
A bus will run all day between the Kyabram RV Country Music Festival and the spring market to help bring visitors to the main street.
Along with the Kyabram Spring Market, Kyabram Uniting Church holds an annual exhibition and sale of Cam Tomfon’s photographs, with proceeds going back to the church.
The exhibition is in the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Unitt and Union Sts, Kyabram.
Kyabram Spring Market will run from 9am to 4.30pm on Friday, November 8, along Allan St, Kyabram.
Allan St will be closed from Albion to Church Sts for the day.
