It is fantastic to see the Tocumwal Community Development Committee (TCDC) in action once again for our community with their three-stage graffiti removal project under way.
Hold tight - we’re checking permissions before loading more content
The entrance to Tocumwal from the Victorian side has long been plagued by graffiti along the fence line.
Volunteers John Stringer, Grant O’Donnell, Frank Kasch, and Graham Priestley were out on Saturday morning for stage one - removing the graffiti from the surface of the fence.
Stage two will involve the son of the homeowner installing stabilisation rails along the fence, with stage three commencing in a few weeks with the repainting of the entire fence at no cost to the homeowner.
Well done TCDC.
It will be a big improvement once this project is complete.

The Tocumwal Can Assist Fashion Show and High Tea was held on October 28 and was a resounding success.
More than 120 people attended and enjoyed a wonderful high tea, raffles and an impressive fashion show of Tocumwal’s Ida Jane’s clothing modelled by the very talented team of Can Assist members.
Can Assist Tocumwal is a charity raising money to assist people in our community who need support, transport vouchers, help around the home and are coping with the effects of cancer.
The fashion show is one of their major events for the year to raise money for this incredibly worthy charity.
Can Assist extends thanks to their members and the supporters who made monetary contributions to the running costs of the event.
They also thank March’s IGA, Macdermids Bakery, Tattersalls Hotel and The Old Bank for their generous support and donations, and of course, the event attendees for their support for the raffles and donations on the day.
Congratulations Can Assist on such a successful event.

The Tocumwal swimming pool is due to open for the season this Saturday.
The committee will have their usual $20 discount on family seasons passes ($170) and $10 on single passes ($90) if paid on opening weekend.
The pool urgently requires people to volunteer their time in the kiosk at the pool for the upcoming season. The shifts are 2.5 hours long.
Unfortunately, the pool won't be able to open if there are no volunteers to man it.
If you’re able to help, please contact Anne on 0428 128 363.
