The 34th annual Good Friday Appeal held at the Jerilderie Sports Club was once again a great success, both socially and financially.

Beautiful autumn weather brought out the golfers and the bowlers.
As games were completed and the weather grew hotter during the day, the clubhouse was a popular haven.
The auction drew a lot of interest, raising extra money for the appeal.

The Uniting Church holiday programme will be held at the Jerilderie Racecourse from April 22 to 24, from 9am to 4pm each day.
Registration forms are available through the two schools or email jacquirobertson58@gmail.com.
Activities will include sports, cooking, canoeing, storytelling, singing, and lots more.
A Christian youth group and leaders from Sydney are coming to town to run the activities.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day will be fully catered for.
Cost is $10 per day per child. Families with more than two children will pay a maximum of $20 per day.

Jerilderie Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a raffle stall this Friday outside IGA, commencing at 9am.
Your support would be appreciated as all money raised goes towards the care and comfort of our residents and patients at the MPS.

The Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance will be holding an information morning at the Finley RS Club on April 11, from 10.15am for 10.30am.
The presentation will seek to clarify the mysteries of My Aged Care Home Care packages, and help to better understand how you can use them to your advantage.
Residents of the Berrigan Shire and surrounding towns are welcome to attend.
RSVPs to 5883 9600 are appreciated but not essential.

Youth Week 2024 is from April 11 to April 21.
Murrumbidgee Council is offering free activities in a Youth Holiday Break Program for various age groups.
In Jerilderie on Monday, April 15, from 11am to 3pm, is the Read the Play day involving trivia, games, prizes and fun. It is for ages 14-18. Lunch and snacks are provided.
On Wednesday, April 17, for ages 12 to 18 years, there is to be a bus trip to Wagga for paintball and bowling.
In Darlington Point on April 24, there will be a beginners’ skate workshop from 11am.
Registration is essential for all activities. Contact the Jerilderie council office.

Mark your calendars.
Murrumbidgee Council will be providing free activities to mark Seniors Week in May 2024.
A Celebrating Seniors Festival will be held in Jerilderie, Darlington Point and Coleambally.
In Jerilderie there will be an ‘Olympics’ seniors luncheon on May 2, with morning tea from 10.30am at the Jerilderie Sports Club. This promises to be a fun-filled day of Olympic-themed games, laughs, and a free lunch.
On May 3 there will be a movie at the Jerilderie library from 1pm.
Bookings are essential for all activities. Drop in to the Jerilderie council office or call 1300 676 243.
Another May date will be the Public School Trivia Night set for May 18.
