The arrest related to Tocumwal and Deniliquin-based incidents reported in November and December.
Police are still investigating many others in the Deniliquin district, and warn the community there is no room for complacency.
Murray River Police District Chief Inspector Michael Fuller confirmed that a 23 year-old man had been arrested on Sunday.
An arrest warrant was executed at a George St home in Deniliquin about 3pm.
“The man was also charged with break and enter dwelling house with intent and enter enclosed lands, which is alleged to have occurred in Tocumwal during November 2024.
“The man was charged with negligent driving, unlicensed driving and take and drive conveyance, which is alleged to have occurred in Deniliquin during December 2024.
“He was refused bail and will appear at Albury Local Court.”
The outcome of Monday’s appearance at Albury was not known at the time of going to print.
Uncertain if it related to recent thefts, police are also seeking the owner/s of a number of items found on Woodbury Rd, Blighty about 9am Friday.
A chainsaw, speaker, satellite device and black bag which were found by a community member, who contacted police.
