Throughout October, Benalla Mitre 10 shoppers are able to round up their orders to support the vital work undertaken by the McGrath Foundation, and on Saturday it held a special fundraiser in its car park.

Staff members operated stalls and fun activities, and event organiser, Mitre 10’s Barb Dyer, said it has raised more than $2000.
“The day went very well,” Ms Dyer said.
“We had items for sale donated by staff, a sausage sizzle and a face painter.
“And we’ll be doing more activities, and fundraising for the McGrath Foundation, throughout October.”
Ms Dyer said as a breast cancer survivor who was helped by McGrath Foundation nurses, she jumped at the chance to get involved.
“It's a foundation that is very close to my heart.
“Every time someone makes a purchase in store they will be able to round it up to donate to the McGrath Foundation.
“And we’ll be having different fundraisers, like raffles.
“The raffle prizes are great, and someone could walk away with a wheelbarrow full of $500 of gardening tools.
“On Thursday, October 17, we’ll have another fundraiser out the front with more games and barbecues.
“Everything we raise doing those, and at the register will go directly to the McGrath Foundation.”
Ms Dyer said she wanted to thank the Benalla business community for all its help.
“And thank you to all the staff at Mitre 10 who have put their hand up to help, or donated items for sale.”
