The 106th annual Finley Show on Sunday will be the place to be for fun-seekers from all over the district ready to officially welcome spring.
Not only will the day provide fun for the whole family, but the show's Father's Day date makes it a great chance to celebrate dad.
With gates opening at 6am, there will be plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
Attractions include Lachie Cosser the Outback Stockman, free camel rides, free face painting, animal nursery, utility dog trials, local stalls, machinery and agricultural displays, and side show alley.
Junior Showgoer judging will be from 10.30am, which will also see a Lady of the Day and Father of the Day picked from the crowd. So make sure you dress to impress the judges.
The super popular free cupcake decorating in the Main Pavilion returns again, thanks to Finley Bakery, and will begin at noon.
Not to be missed in the afternoon is the Wynne Hawkins Memorial 'Champion of Champions' at 2pm, followed by the official opening and grand parade at 2.30pm.
There will also be plenty of food to treat yourself with, including coffee, ice cream, Slinky Spudz, smoked barbecue, souvlaki, snowcones, and popcorn, as well as the Little Athletics barbecue and the Murray Hut CWA in the luncheon pavilion.
And don't forget to check out other vendors selling candles, clothing, knick-knacks, honey, garlic, novelties, dog leads, and the all-important showbags.
Those attending the show have the chance to win a $350 Whitton Malt House voucher, just be sure to fill in your lucky gate ticket and put it in the box at the secretary's office or main pavilion before 2pm. The winner will be drawn during the official opening.
While the show officially takes place on Sunday, there are a few events to be enjoyed on Saturday afternoon, including beef cattle junior handlers and junior judging from 12.30pm.
While your waiting for the show gates to open, finalise your entries for the show competitions. Check entry conditions and closing dates and times in the schedule, available at www.finleyshowsociey.org and from several local businesses.

A special guest at this year’s event will be Bernadette Gray, who was has been chosen as the 2024 Finley Show Personality.
“Bernadette has always been a strong supporter of the Finley Show, particularly when it comes to the pavilion,” the show committee said of the selection.
“Anyone who's ever perused all the exhibits will have seen Bernadette's name popping up several times throughout the flower section.
“But it's not just entries - Bernadette works hard every year as steward of the Cut Flowers, Garden Produce, and Junior Cut Flowers sections, and rallying her band of stewards to help during judging.”
The show gates will be manned from noon on Saturday, with the entry covering both days.
Adult tickets are $15, children (6-17 years) are $5, children under 5 get in free and an aged pension ticket is $10. A family pass for two adults and children up to the age of 17 is $40.
