Multiple fundraisers for Keia Towler and Alex Andrew have been started with the aim of helping the expectant parents to recover items lost.
The pair were living at a Berrigan-Jerilderie Rd home, about 10km from Jerilderie.
The fire is believed to have started just before 4pm last Wednesday, but a cause is yet to be determined.
NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire + Rescue NSW brigades from across the district were dispatched to the blaze.
Mid Murray Rural Fire Service district officer Jodie Graham said because of its locations, RFS crews from Jerilderie and Mairjimmy were first on scene.
“The firefighters made sure there were no residents inside, without entering the structure, and started to work on fire control,” Ms Graham said.
“The house was fully involved by the time they arrived, and it was an amazing response from our crews.”
Jerilderie FRNSW Captain John Crittenden said it was quite a ferocious blaze from the beginning.
He said by the time his team arrived, the roof of the home had collapsed.
It took three hours for the fire to be brought under control, but an RFS truck and crew remained on site overnight to monitor the situation.
Capt Crittenden said because of the intensity of the blaze, Murray River Police District detectives would be investigating the cause.
