Fantastic work in the ring by Keely Coates and great shooting by the goalies despite the wind helped the Redeyes to the win. With constant pressure by the defenders, particularly Meg Erickson, in the midcourt Blighty were able to create many turnovers.

B grade: The Redeyes had an exciting finish, coming from five goals down to end in a draw. Lauren Swadesir had a ripper game for her first game in GS, shooting like she plays there every week. Swadesir and Sophia Mitchell worked well together in the ring.

C grade: Blighty had some good patches in wet conditions, however couldn’t overcome the Hoppers. Great transition defence from Gemma Plattfuss saw her claim best on court.

C reserve: Blighty played slow and steady mostly in the rain to earn a six goal win. Tiah Macdonald had her best day yet with great movement in the goal circle while Danielle Bennett had a great game with lots of tussles for the ball.

Under 17s: In terrible conditions the game was called off due to weather at three quarter time with Blighty playing the first three quarters in great team spirit.

U15s: It was a great game by all the Redeyes. Awesome work in defence created plenty of turnovers which the midcourt girls worked down to the shooters, who were shooting well despite the wind.

U13s: It was a strong win for the Redeyes, bouncing back from their first loss last week.

U11s: A really great game was played with all players cheering their teammates on. The highlight was some impressive shooting in the windy conditions by the Redeyes. Awards: Catie Michaels, Cassady Sibraa, Chelsea Singleton, Samara Watson, Ally McKenzie and Grace Gallpen.
The Care South Award went to Emma Barker and Club Person of the Day was Gerard Stanworth.
