They defeated Deniliquin, 3-2.
The day started off badly for Deniliquin when its guns Peter Astill and Ron Turner were beaten 4-3 by Molly Ryan and Greg Boyer.
Ron Turner - fresh from a stint overseas touring Cambodia and Vietnam, and being one of the best winners this year - was gutted on the 15th hole.
In the next group, Simon Tilders and Sam Callinan from Deniliquin defeated Ryan Medcraft and Michael Miller 3-2 making the scores one each.
Deni players Digger King and Col Thompson were then soundly beaten by Dale Casley and Codi Bowden 6-5, giving Cobram 2 the upper hand at 2-1.
In the fourth group, Jarrod Sommerfeld and Zac Pearce from Deni evened the scores by defeating Brian Oldham on the 18th.
This tied the matches 2-2 and made for an exciting final match-up.
Matt Thomas and Jarryd Pearce from Deni could not match Adrian Zonnevurlot and Alan Lowndes, with the 2-1 score enabling Cobram 2 to get over the line.
It finished up to be one of the tightest final series the competition has had for a number of years.
