Finley PCP (Passionate Community Participants) will be holding an open day this Sunday, from 11am to 3pm.
Hold tight - we’re checking permissions before loading more content
It will be held at the Finley PCP community farm, located on McNairs Rd (off the Riverina Highway).
This event offers an opportunity to showcase the substantial progress achieved over the past 18 months since the ‘Mandalay’ property was acquired.
Invitations are extended to all families, individuals, volunteers and service clubs who have generously contributed to the operations, as well as anyone from the general public who may be interested.
People are encouraged to attend and witness operations first hand.
A sausage sizzle and afternoon tea will be provided, and members of Finley PCP will be on hand to have a chat or answer any questions.
RSVP by October 12 to info@finleypcp.com.au.
Finley PCP is a group formed by local residents whose aim, by purchasing the property ‘Mandalay’, is to better the community financially and socially.
It is intended that this company will strengthen our community by creating a future fund that will be available for community members and our service clubs to embark on projects that otherwise may have been out of reach financially.
It will provide opportunities to apply for government grants, knowing that where funding is required to be matched by the community, funds are available.
So please take the time to attend and become aware of this project, which will contribute so much to the future of the community.

This Saturday, members of Finley and surrounding communities are encouraged to take part in ‘Light the Night’.
This event had come about as a result of unfortunate events experienced by families such as Tony, Michelle and Jake Smith when they lost their 13 year old son and brother, Will.
“Sometimes we can forget to take the time to enjoy the small things in life, and even though we can be surrounded by people, we can still feel so alone and isolated”, Michelle said.
“So please light up a lantern or candle and put it out the front of your house or driveway to remind ourselves that we all have a light inside us that deserves to shine and to show our love and support to anyone who may be grieving, overwhelmed, lonely, missing someone or who may simply just want to feel a part of something.”

The oldest member of Finley MenShed, Ray Koschel, was pleasantly surprised to be the recipient of a delicious birthday cake to celebrate his 93rd birthday recently.
Ray enjoys his time at the MenShed and encourages anyone who would like to take part in the many activities available to go along and see just how beneficial it is to belong to this great group.
