One driver in Moulamein had to be cut from her car following a collision on Saturday, and in Mathoura on Sunday a car rolled several times before coming to a rest back on its wheels.
Both incidents prompted a multi agency response, with emergency services attending from across the region.
Saturday’s incident at Moulamein occurred just after 1pm.
A woman reported to be making her way from Canberra to Mildura was travelling through Moulamein when her car was reportedly t-boned at the Tallow Rd and Patterson St intersection.
Hitting her driver’s side door, Wes Follet from Deniliquin Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW said the impact of the collision prevented her from getting out of the vehicle on her own.
“From what we understand she was going straight, and car came off the gravel road and t-boned her car,” Mr Follet said.
“Our crews assisted Moulamein Rural Fire Service Rescue members to remove the driver’s side door of the vehicle and cutting away the B plier to safely remove the patient.
“The patient was then transported to hospital.
“With any type of crash there is always a suspicion of spinal injury, but thankfully she was relatively okay.”
Mr Follet said Ambulance NSW paramedics from Swan Hill, Balranald, Barham and Finley also attended.
The RFS received the call for assistance just after 1pm, with firefighters returning to the station about 4pm.
On Sunday, Mathoura RFA crews were dispatched to Picnic Point to respond to a car crash reported about 11.30am.
A ute had rolled several times on Millewa Rd, but came to a rest back on its tyres.
Mid Murray RFS district assistance John Temlett said the driver reportedly hit some sand and lost control.
He was taken to hospital for assessment but is believed to have been released.
NSW Police and Ambulance NSW also responded to the incident.
