With the 2022 event raising $8,100 for Albury Wodonga Health and the maternity ward at Wodonga Hospital, Efforts 4 Esme has now become a registered local charity.

Annual events will be held within the Berrigan Shire to continue to raise much needed funds for the Wodonga maternity unit and other smaller local hospitals.
Efforts 4 Esme was originally established in support of Jacqui and Nathan Mackay’s family, who endured so much when bringing daughter Esme into the world.
She was born on March 4, 2022 not breathing.
The staff at Albury Wodonga Health worked tirelessly for hours to get her breathing again and when they did, Esme was flown to Sydney, without her parents.
Her parents were able to get up to Sydney on March 8 to reunite with Esme.
Now more than a year later, Esme is thankfully thriving.
And so the charity is now on a mission to help our next generation live happy and healthy childhoods.
Save the date for an October 7 Family Fun Run - the second big event for the Efforts 4 Esme team to be held at the Tocumwal Racecourse.
The fundraising event will consist of both a 2km (starting at 9am) and 5km (starting at 8am) walk or run, and a 100m ‘Leg it for Letty’ sprint race, with $500 cash prize for male and female winners to be held at 10am.
Gates open at 7am with face painting, coffee and food - a great family day out for an incredible local charity.
Head to www.efforts4esme.com to register for the events.
Registration prices are $30 for the 2km and 5km walk/run, and $50 for the Leg it for Letty 100m sprint.
