The event boasts a variety of boutique and brand new clothes at massively reduced prices.
This year, the Berrigan Red Cross raised an estimated $6000.
Friday’s proceeds will go to the Red Cross Learner Driver program in Wagga Wagga, and Saturday’s to Hilltop Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre in Albury.
It was the 12th ‘Fashion Extravaganza’ the organisation has held.
The Berrigan Australian Red Cross committee made the difficult decision to not hold the widely popular event in December 2020 due to COVID restrictions.
However, Friday and Saturday’s tremendous effort made it well worth the wait.
Berrigan Red Cross president Marion Dickins said the Festival on Chanter was ‘‘ideal’’ timing for the extravaganza, and that she couldn’t have envisioned a better night.
‘‘It was most successful. There was a lovely crowd due to the Festival on Chanter music, and the many ladies in attendance supported us very well.
‘‘March is an ideal time for the Extravaganza, and we would hold it then if the Festival goes ahead next year.
‘‘We are very thankful to the Men’s Shed for making the Extravaganza possible. Their shop made it accessible to those at the festival.
‘‘We are also very grateful to all who supported us to make this happen,’’ Ms Dickins said.
The remainders of the Extravaganza will be available at Berrigan’s normal Red Cross shop from April 14.
Ms Dickins encourages all interested parties to peruse the items.
