The Finley and District Camera Club held its annual awards night in January, showcasing the valuable contribution of members throughout 2022.
A special part of the evening was the induction of two new life members - David Stillard and club secretary Valerie Lee.

Marjorie Coulter and club president Chris Filshie won the Peter Walton Shield for Novice Photographer and the Val Tongs Shield for Advanced Photographer respectively.
Mr Filshie also won the Ron Cooper award.
The award is given to the best video photography montage.

Shirley Coldwell won the Max Pascoe Award for Best Colour Image for a photo of a cassowary.
She also claimed the Max Pascoe Award for the Best Black and White Image for a photo of a wallaby.
Mrs Lee said that the club welcomes any new members.
A good way to hone your photography skills, she said it’s also an opportunity to form social connections with the community.
“We strive to encourage people who wish to learn how their camera works and how to take great photos to join,” she said.
“Members of the public are welcome at our monthly meetings. We encourage anyone interested in photography to come along and join in.”
