The variety and array of pink costumes was remarkable, especially those put together by Jeremy Robertson, Harry Daniel, George Danswan and Brett Murphy.

Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance will be holding ‘Unlocking Hope No. 3’ at the Finley RS Club, 63-67 Tocumwal Street, on Thursday, November 9, with a 10am for 10.30am start.
Guest speaker Alison Lueff will be talking about behaviours associated with memory loss and dementia and strategies to deal with them.
Alison is a dedicated nurse with extensive experience in healthcare and is also a respected TAFE Aged Care educator. Her commitment to fostering understanding and offering practical solutions has made her a sought-after authority on memory loss issues.
Residents of the surrounding communities are urged to take the opportunity to attend this presentation, and members of the Alliance will also be in attendance.
Morning tea will be provided and a pen or pencil to take notes would be useful.
One person who has attended the first two Unlocking Hope presentations and two of the social get-togethers with carers and those diagnosed with dementia, would like to express her gratitude to the Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance for the journey of discovery she has experienced.
“I have been educated, informed and been able to get answers to questions” she explained.
“I became very aware residents in other areas did not have the opportunity to obtain this information and I was upset at how stressed a longtime acquaintance was with the diagnosis of his wife with early onset dementia.
He was struggling to cope until he became aware of the services available through Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance and Carers Gateway.”
“I can’t recommend highly enough attending the third Unlocking Hope”, she concluded.
RSVP to 03 5883 9600 would be appreciated but is not essential.

Just a reminder that, with Remembrance Day, November 11, fast approaching, members of the community are advised the Finley RSL Sub-branch will once again be located outside Finley IGA selling poppies, badges, pens and other memorabilia in the week leading up to this special day.
The volunteers will also be circulating in the CBD so please take advantage of the opportunity to support this worthy cause.
All funds raised remain in our local community to assist current and past veterans and their families.
The Sub-branch will also be conducting a street stall on Friday, November 10, and donations of cakes, slices, garden plants and other saleable items would be very much appreciated.
Also, the community is reminded the commemoration service for Remembrance Day will take place at the Finley Memorial Park on November 11 at 11am.
