Several market and food stalls will line the street, businesses will offer late night trading and the carols will help get people in the holiday spirit.
Berrigan and District Development Association Market Night co-organiser John Lane said there’s still space for more stallholders, with anyone interested invited to reach out.
“Christmas Carols are an important part of the night,” he said.
“A lot of work and organising people has gone into the event, hosted by Helen Dickie.”
Entertainment will take place from 5.30pm, with a spinning wheel and raffles, jumping castle and face painting.
There will also be a special visitor, Mr Lane said.
“Santa will be coming to provide a bit of entertainment, as well as the Rural Fire Service who will be there doing a bit of a demonstration and entertaining those interested.”
“A few of the shops will be open with great quality bargains.”
Mr Lane also encouraged people to support the Berrigan Red Cross Fashion Extravaganza, which is always a highlight of the annual event.
“A lot of people come just for the bargains at the Extravaganza,” he said.
A big draw card of the community event is that it is free entry for everyone.
Tables and chairs will be provided, and Mr Lane said the celebrations are open to residents and visitors in surrounding communities.
The Market Night and Christmas Carols are a beloved tradition in the Berrigan community, Mr Lane said.
“We’ve done it for 20 years, and it is a well-known event in Berrigan.
“We usually get around 200 to 300 people, and this Friday should be a great night.”
