The easy two-kilometre walk, which is a national fundraiser for Stem Cell Research using the richest blood from the umbilical cord to help find ways to cure many diseases, is growing in popularity with walkers able to join in with just a donation of $10.
Starting at 11am from the entry to Chinaman’s Island near the Yacht Club, participants just have to follow the red balloons around Chinaman’s Island with a free sausage sizzle to follow.
The event is gaining momentum with major supporters including Purtle family, Blend Hair Studio, CMCU, ClubMulwala, Yarrawonga Ford and Judd and Sons all on board.
All funds raised will go the Inner Wheel Australia Foundation Trust for research that has seen the lives of many being saved by this research, especially children.
Many blood disorders including Leukaemia, auto immune diseases, cystic fibrosis, heart disease and stroke have also benefited from this stem cell research.
It’s all about giving a loved one a second chance, which also fits in with the ethos of the Inner Wheel Club.
