The very welcome rain didn’t deter the ladies on the annual Anglican Mother’s Day street stall held last Friday.
Thanks have been expressed for the rain, and to everyone who supported the very successful fundraiser.

Jerilderie Red Cross members are grateful for the support of their Mother’s Day raffle, drawn recently. Winners were: Betty Conn 1, Jenny Barlow 2.
Red Cross meets today at 1pm at the Sports Club.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients of Murrumbidgee Council’s 2024 scholarship.
Tiarna Burke, Zavier Cadorin and Olivia Whelan each received $1000 to alleviate the financial burden associated with pursuing tertiary education.
This year council will also assist students through the annual Monash Bursary Program, applications for which open in October, and the Charles Sturt University (CSU) Foundation Scholarship, for which applications have closed.

Local people and those involved in the racing industry were saddened by news of the recent death of veteran trainer Ken Sweeney, formerly of Jerilderie and late of South Australia.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Ken’s wife Cheryl and son Jason.

The next meeting of the Jerilderie Hospital Auxiliary will be on Thursday, May 23, at 2pm in the meeting room at the hospital.
