Last chance to submit your story for the Furphy Literary Awards

Mayor Shane Sali said he wanted to encourage young writers across the Goulburn Valley to submit a story.

“These awards are another way we can share the stories from young people in our community and help nurture upcoming writers,” he said.

“There are some incredible stories out there and if you haven’t already, I encourage you to submit your story to the Furphy Literary Awards.”

Each category will have a first place prize of $300, second place price of $100 and a third place prize of $50, with entries closing on May 31 at 11:59pm.
