What an amazing opening of the FADAMS 2022 production of ‘And So Say All Of Us’, played to a full house at the Finley School of Arts on Sunday afternoon.

As there are still four more performances to take place, little can be given away about the story of a 25th wedding anniversary celebration party gone wrong.
Suffice to say, all members of the cast played their parts to perfection.
However, Kristin Thow excelled as Knocker and kept the audience in fits of laughter, sometimes without even saying a word.
Payup Percy (aka Ross Whittaker) also received a show of appreciation with his entrance.
Sir Benjamin Proctor, played by Steven Jones, was thrilled to have his grandmother and other family members travel from Cobram and Wagga for the show.
The story unfolds in a way you would never expect, so if you have not already booked for one of the performances on June 3, 4, 17 or 18, it is advisable to call in and see Sally at Con Carr Betta Home Living and purchase a ticket ASAP.

The Finley Lions Club members very generously gave up their wood raffle position last Saturday to allow the Finley Show Society to hold its street stall.
However, these delightful and diligent volunteers will once again be in place selling tickets this coming Saturday.
Be sure to stop, have a chat and purchase tickets for the trailer load of wood and support this great organisation.

Tony and Michelle Smith took on the Lifeline challenge of 10,000 steps per day in May and have had an incredible response to their fundraising.
This much-loved family sadly lost their son and grandson Will to suicide last year, and decided to assist others who have also been impacted by a loss.
Tony and Michelle received wonderful support from family, friends and the local community when they experienced their own loss.
As a way of saying ‘thank you’ and showing appreciation of the support they received, they decided to walk the ‘extra miles’ from Tocumwal to Finley last weekend.
Up until Friday evening they had raised $7,200. The 25km walk from Tocumwal to Finley increased the amount to more than $20,000! A wonderful effort.
Donations can still be contributed by going to Tony and Michelle’s Facebook page, where you will find a link to Lifeline, or by contacting them on 0408 107 776.

It is hard to believe it is already mid year!
The Finley Garden Lovers Club has had presentations, visited members’ gardens and members have visited a variety of regional open gardens.
Local garden clubs are a great source of finding out what is happening in gardens in your region as well as helpful information.
This coming spring, the Finley Garden Lovers Club will celebrate 60years since it’s beginning.
There will be a fundraising luncheon with interesting speakers, raffles, lucky door prizes and, of course, a members’ plant trading table.
Now is the time to get those cuttings and plants going for the trading table which is the club’s main fund raiser.
The June 6 meeting at the Finley RS Club will have three special themes: Artistic Autumn, hanging pot of foliage and maybe mixed, cyclamen in a pot.
The table judges will be Mary Rourke and Jenny Davidson. New members are always welcome.
