Residents of Barrabill House in Seymour had a day to remember when 90-year-old Aide Symons’ son, Melbourne Cup-winning trainer John Symons, popped along with fellow trainer Sheila Laxon and the prestigious trophy.

“There was smiles all round as they each got to hold the three-handled trophy,” Wayne said.
“None were prouder than Aide, who was pictured with her son and the trophy.
“Photos of the day have been displayed to celebrate the visit.”
Staff and residents thanked John and Sheila for making it such a special day.
