Sponsored by family owned and operated business NutriSoil, the Biological Farming Roundtable (BFR) brings experts in soil health to regional areas across Australia.
NutriSoil director Nakala Maddock is excited to be hosting the BFR with nationally recognised agroecologist David Hardwick.
“We love providing education and networking opportunities to farmers who want to increase their knowledge on how to use biology to improve soil health and therefore plant, animal and human health,” she said.
“At the moment there is a real surge of interest in NutriSoil in the Riverina region, in particular how to make the most of biology.
“David Hardwick from Soil Land Food will be the main presenter, who has a wealth of knowledge about the life found in soil structure and how a biologically functioning soil is key to unlocking nutrient cycling.
“Tom Briggs, a cropping and sheep farmer from Rutherglen and vice president of Farmer Led Group Vic No Till, will be presenting his five-year trial on the benefits of using bio stimulants and plant diversity in cropping and grazing systems.
“Luke Harrington from Re-Gen Farming will also be on hand at the event to provide advice on the different tools available to farmers to help them optimise soil health through biology.
“The BFR also provides a way for people to learn more about NutriSoil, the science behind our concentrated Vermiwash and the benefits of using NutriSoil in their farming system.”
The day will begin at the Deniliquin RSL at 9am on July 11.
There will be a best soil in show competition, a fun way to begin the day by looking at soil structure, and there will be plenty of networking opportunities.
Tickets are $80 per person which includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Tickets are available through Humanitix by searching Deniliquin Biological Farming Roundtable, or by contacting NutriSoil directly on (02) 6020 9676 or email sales@nutrisoil.com.au.
