With the Finley Show Society’s 106th Annual Finley Show coming up on September 1, now is the perfect time to be planning your show entries.
There are more than 1000 competitions to enter, across livestock, arts & craft, horticulture and more.
And just in time for the break, entries have opened for the colouring competition and the scarecrow competition.
The colouring competition is open to both adults and children.
Colouring sheets can be found and downloaded from the show society’s website, with entries closing on August 31.
The scarecrow building competition is one of the sections of the popular pavilion.
“The scarecrows are always such a fun and interesting area of the pavilion and we love seeing how creative everyone is,” the committee said.
“Entries are open to individuals, families, and businesses or organisations, so have some fun with it!”
With a full livestock program including sheep, beef, dairy cattle, horses, poultry and utility dogs, there is plenty to engage our landholders and hobby breeders too.
Tickets for the Finley Show can be purchased at the gate. Adult tickets are $15 or $10 for aged pensioners. Children aged 6-17 can enter with a $5 ticket, and children 5 and under get in free with an appropriate guardian.
Family passes are also available for $40.
