Rotary president Debbie Jewell, Rotarian Dr Alam Yousuff and Finley RS general manager Sharen Parmley were in attendance to make the presentations to the principal and 2023 school captains Amber Lawlor and Marlee Simpson.
The money will go towards a new 3D printer, robots for Kindergarten to Year 6 classes and new laptops.
Finley Public School will then have a 1:2 laptop-to-student ratio.
This ensures that devices are available for integration into lessons across all subjects.
Mr Gill was thrilled with the donation saying “Finley Public School has a long history of quality teaching and learning and this donation will support our efforts to further integrate technology”.
“In 2023 we also introduced dedicated technology lessons with Mr Murphy each week for all classes from Kindergarten to Year 6,” he siad.
“The new robots will support critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication among our students.
“Similarly, the 3D printer will add to our existing model where Years 3 to 6 will be able to design, slice and print their creations bringing the world of fabrication and engineering closer to them.”
Mr Gill thanked Finley RS Club and Finley Rotary Club for their generous support.

There were two very excited bowlers returning home on Sunday evening after a very pleasing day in Numurkah.
The Victoria State Pairs Murray Division finals were played with a Finley Composite team of Nan Smith and Fiona Rourke taking part.
The pair played extremely well in the first game defeating Barooga Sports Club by a big margin.
However, they narrowly missed out in the finals, losing by just one shot, to Numurkah Golf.
Both games were played with great sportsmanship and fun.
