The Finley Rotary Club played a big hand in the wonderful achievements of the Finley High School Show Team at the recent Melbourne Royal.

Teachers organising the excursion saw the mounting costs of sending 38 students to the show, with accommodation, food and transport costs rising exorbitantly since the last show in 2019.

Finley Rotary came to the rescue, generously offering to fund the entirety of the estimated food and transport costs.

This enabled students to afford to attend, where they may otherwise have missed out on this wonderful opportunity to show off the skills they had been working hard to develop and represent their school in such a positive manner.

Finley Rotary members, Peter Dundon, Lois Manser and Keith Haidle presented a cheque for $5,677 to the school group at the recent Finley Show to assist families and students in attending the Royal this year.

The School would like to publicly say a massive “thank you” to all our Rotary Club members for their support.
