We all know that when Jesus walked the Earth, he healed the sick, delivered those who were demon possessed, brought people back from death, stopped the winds, turned water into wine; the list goes on.
Here Jesus tells us that because he died on the cross and paid the price for our sins, and then went to present himself to his father, all who believe in him have the ability to do even greater works than he accomplished.
Isn’t that incredible and mind blowing.
The Bible tells us that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit back into the Earth to empower believers. And before he left, he transferred his authority to his believers.
Whenever the early believers preached signs, wonders followed.
Sadly, as time and the generations of the church that followed went, their faith in the spiritual gifts went cold and they stopped operating in them.
Let’s believe God can resurrect the gifts in the church, just like he resurrected his son.
The scripture says all we have to do is believe, not in ourselves but in him, and signs and wonders will follow.
Something to reflect on this week.
