Coleambally’s Teagan Matthews found herself in the right place at the right time to capture the action, snapping this rather amazing lightning strike from the Kidman Way.
“The storm came over very quickly,” she told the Southern Riverina News.
“Within minutes, it was pouring rain, there was lightning, and the wind was strong enough to blow over trees.”
By the time the storm had subsided a bit, and the rain had let up, it was around 8pm.
Teagan was forced to “head into town” as the power in her house had gone out.
While on Four Corners Road, near the intersection with Kidman Way, she stopped to take in the impressive light show.
Standing at the shoulder of the road she took her chance, and managed to capture this bolt.
