Plane crash kills three including two from Tongala

Emergency services responded to reports of a plane crash in a paddock off Hayfield-Upper Maffra Rd, north-west of Sale, at about 5.45pm.

Police were told that the plane was circling the area before it crashed and burst into flames.

The pilot and two passengers, one of whom was a 15-year-old Tinamba West boy, died at the scene.

They were the only occupants onboard.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
