Cats chase in vain in first hit-out

Finley’s A-grade cricketers played in their first game of the Murray Valley Cricket Association season in Katamatite on Saturday.

Winning the toss, Finley chose to bowl.

Jack Hay and Archie Mason bowled well to kick the year off.

Spells from Harrison King and Nathan Brown brought some wickets.

The runs flowed for Katty throughout the innings, with the final score of 313.

Finley went into bat with Noah Iddles first hit out for the Cats making 18.

Justin Crowley held his own with 17.

Unfortunately for the Cats they were dismissed for only 60.

There is lots to improve on for the Cats this week against Nathalia.

Finley’s B-grade and under-15s sides will start their seasons off against Nathalia this weekend.
