After the disappointment of losing last season’s final, the team of Erica Walkerden, Gerald Towler and Joe Ivankovic were determined to take home the coveted Husqvarna trophy this time.
Despite going through the season undefeated, the Eagles had to fight hard for their victory, with the unheralded Savernake team pushing them to a playoff end.
The playoff was tightly contested until Towler secured the win with his last bowl.
Barefoot bowls will conclude for 2024 with the ‘singles shootout’ on Wednesday.
