It was a fantastic week of golf at Club Tocumwal, kicking it off with day one of the Easter Tournament on Good Friday, March 29. The comp of the day was stableford with a total of 187 players.

Easter Sunday saw day three of the Easter Tournament, and the fight to take home the Easter Cup.

Wednesday was Ladies Monthly Medal Medley Stroke in conjunction with VWGA Country Championship Event.
Winner was Rozie Kennett 71 net on c/b to r/u Julie Sleigh 71. Putting Margo Gregory 31. NTP: 16 th Rozie Kennett, 15 th Suz Graham.
Sunday was Stableford Medley off blue tees. Winner was Aaron Purcell 35, c/b to r/u Laurie Blackmore 35. NTP: 5th Mick Pitt, 7th Aaron Purcell, 16th Mick Pitt.
Note new starting times. Wednesdays 8.30am for 9am tee off; Sundays 10am for 10.30am tee off.
Next Sunday is the first round of the Men’s & Ladies Club Championships, 10am for 10.30am. Monday 15 SRV Finley.
Berrigan
Saturday was the Mixed Open and the winners were John and Maree Doyle with 39 points, r/u Luke and Daz Keating 37, and ball winners were Joe and Judy Karakai 37 and Joe Nicholls and Gail Browne 37.
Leading the Wilson’s Cup is Finley by two shots over Berrigan and Jerilderie are coming third.
Sunday was the Men's Open Championship, 32 players attended.
A-grade winner Ian Armer 76 net, r/u Chris Cameron 80 on c/b. Handicap winner was Jason Pyle (84-11-73), r/u Doug Cameron (87-14-73).
B-grade scratch winner was Steve Senini 95, r/u Paul McVicor 96, handicap winner J Smith (99-24-75), r/u Dave Midson (110-33-77).
NTP: 8th A-grade Matt Whelan; 14th Peter Bisset; 2nd Col Macnamara.
Ball winners: B Smith, A Evans, Matt Whelan and Alan Arnold.
Finley
It was the Hargreaves Cleaning Services Stroke Day for the ladies on Wednesday.
Heather Daniel came home the winner with 75 net, the putting competition went to Rulie Steinfort with 28 putts.
Winners in the ball competition were Sharon Pyle 78, with Kerrie Carlon and Janet Delmenico who each finished on 79 net.
Dennis Sutton with a handicap busting 44 points claimed the win when Stableford was played by the Men on Wednesday. NTP on the 18th was Paul Beaver.
Ball competition winners were John Taylor 38 and Paul Beaver and Rodger Sutton who each finished with 33 Stableford points.
After countback, Jithu on 18 points came home the winner when Stableford was played at the final 9 Hole Competition of the summer season. Winners in the ball competition were Colin McNamara 18 and Jacob Smith 17.
Season end jackpot winner was Ian Armer with a ten best round average of 18.9 Stableford points.
A new winter season competition starts tomorrow with a start time of 2pm.
Overnight rain saw reduced numbers for the PA & JL Scott Stableford day on Saturday.
The winner was Michael Schwabe on 36 points. NTP on the 18th was John Taylor.
Ball competition winners were Mark O’Brien, Wayne Peasley and Andrew Harding who all finished with 34 Stableford points.
A bigger field turned out when Stroke was played on the PL & JA Scott Electricians day two on Sunday.
Finishing with 70 net, James Peck was the Men’s Division winner with Helen Wastle after countback on 75 net the winner for the women. The Ladies Putting Competition was won by Sharon Pyle with 28 putts.
NTPs: 18th Bob Ross. Ball competition winners were Tony Smith 72, Leo McNamara 73, Barry Wilson 74, Chick Braybon 74, and Linda Rendell who finished on 75 net.
