The annual Tocumwal Open Amateur, sponsored by Tocumwal Golf Resort, was also played at the weekend.
Day one on Saturday was played in some wild winter weather, while the final on Sunday was a spectacular sunny Toc day.

Jerilderie
Jerilderie was well represented last Wednesday by seven ladies at the Finley Pink Day.
And they didn’t leave empty-handed, with Denise Boland winning NTP on 18th and several Jerilderie players among the progressive raffle winners.
A great day enjoyed by all, and our congratulations to Finley on a successful breast cancer fundraising event.
On Thursday and Friday, 15 of our ladies travelled to Rich River at Moama for their overdue golf trip.
Gentsomes was played on both their east and west courses over the two days.
Some terrific team and individual results were recorded, with the elements including thick fog, spring sunshine and chilly showers of rain not dampening any players’ spirit or form.

This Wednesday will be medley stableford and Sunday will be a two-person ambrose and club qualifier for the 2024 Golf NSW Keno event.
Winning men, ladies and/or mixed pairs will advance to stage two of the regional final at Thurgoona Country Club on Sunday, October 27.
Preparations are well in hand for the 2024 Outback Challenge over the NSW long weekend, October 5-7 at Jerilderie, Finley and Berrigan.
It will be a new two-person ambrose format with divisions comprising men’s, ladies and mixed with a $2000 prize pool.

Finley
Last Wednesday men, women and junior golfers from district clubs dressed in many and varied ‘pink themed’ costumes, joining the Finley locals for the annual Pink Day fundraiser to support breast cancer research.
Although the day carried a ‘fun day’ title, the two-person ambrose golf was serious with some excellent scores.
Ladies Division winners were Kellie White and Sharon Pyle with 66 net followed by runners-up Mary Polkinghorne and Helen Wastle 67.75 and third placed Janet Delmenico and Deb Shaw on 68.75.
The Men’s Division winners were Tony Smith and Darren Pyle 64.75, closely followed by runners-up Jacob Smith and Travis Rochford on 65.75 and Doug Smith and Geoff Sadler (Cobram Barooga) with 66 in third place.
Junior winners were Cooper Sutton and Harry Daniel with 63.75.
There were also plenty of prizes to be won in the novelty section.
The Best Dressed Lady was Helen Wastle, with Sharon Pyle and Karen Litchfield also getting mentions.
Best Dressed Man was Lindsay Donkin, with Ian Litchfield, Paul Beaver and Matt Daniel getting mentions too.
There were NTP prizes on all par three holes for both men and women, each sponsored in memory of a past club supporter.

13th: men’s in memory of Bill Freestone - Peter Taylor (Tocumwal); ladies in memory of Veronica Braybon – Linda Rendell.
18th: men’s in memory of Ron Clayton - Chick Braybon; ladies in memory of Marg Honechurch - Kaye Sutton.
Ladies Straightest Drive in memory of Shirley McClelland went to Denise Boland (Jerilderie) in A-grade and Trish Jackson in B-grade.

On Thursday in the Winter 9 Hole Stabelford competition, the winner was John Taylor with 20 points. Ball comp: Doug Smith 19, Chick Braybon 18.
By necessity, the AG Warehouse Stableford was played as a Medley on Saturday. Winner was Ryan Donkin with 40 points. NTP 18th Tony Smith.
Ball comp: Jacob Smith 36, Billy Smith 34, John Taylor 34, Tony Smith 32. On Sunday, the Men played Two-person Ambrose and the women played stableford for trophies from J and H Braybon.
Colin McNamara and Rob Singleton on 65 net were men’s winners and Gai Singleton on 38 points was women’s winner.

Berrigan
Friday's winner was Jeff Stein (45-11.5-33.5) and runner-up was Beau Walliss (45-10-35).
Doug Cameron won the putting with 14 putts, and ball winner was Brendan Haintz (50-13-37).
Saturday’s results were quite similar to Friday, with Jeff Stein having another win (45-11.5-33.5) and Beau Walliss (45-10-35) the runner-up.
Doug Cameron again won the putting with 13 putts, and was also the ball winner (42-6.5-35.5).
Beau Wallis went one better on Sunday, winning with 38 points.
Runner-up was Geoff Tait on 38 points, and ball winner was Jeff Stein on 37 points.
nearest-the-pin on the 17th was Joe Nicholls.
Next Sunday will be stroke with tee off at 12.30pm.
