The Cutters struggled against Tungamah last weekend at home, losing 140-20.
With only two rounds left to play in the Picola League season, the Cutters will be hoping to finish strong.
Tomorrow is the final game at their home ground.
Decimated with injury against Tungamah, the Cutters were still unsure of player availability for this weekend at the time of going to print yesterday.
Being reduced to having no bench to select from and having used their sub before half-time, the Cutters were always facing an uphill battle.
Looking toward the game against Waaia, coach Tim McCormick said it would be a big task but should present some opportunities within the club.
Injuries to the senior playing list have allowed under-17s footballers to step up and make their senior debuts.
In last week’s game, there were three.
This week, due to necessity, it seems another one or two may be joining their under-17s teammates in the senior side.
“The three under-17s players played well in their debuts and a couple more will be called upon this weekend.
“All were quite chuffed to get their opportunity.
“We’ll give what we’ve got and try our very best.
“Waaia have been one of the better teams and clubs in recent times.”
Mathoura will be hoping to finish the Picola League season strong with only two rounds left.
This weekend’s senior match-up will be played at Mathoura from 2.05pm.
