The next crop of pathway talent was revealed last Thursday, with the announcement of the Victorian 17/U and 19/U state teams to compete in next year’s championships in Sydney.
The teams of 12 have been named after a selection process since August, where squads of 50 were narrowed down to 25.
The squads have been involved in Netball Victoria’s Elevate program, introducing them to aspects of high performance environments such as strength and conditioning, nutrition, athlete wellbeing and skill development.
Initially, athletes were talent identified at Netball Victoria’s pathway competitions, association championships and state titles, as well as through Netball Victoria’s Talent Academies across the state.
Mia is a 181cm goal attack, is just 17 years-of-age and played in Victoria’s 17/U team in 2023.
She plays locally for Wodonga Raiders in the Ovens & Murray Football Netball League alongside fellow Victorian state team member Eliza Mooney.

Cricketer Ebony Hoskin, 21, is relishing the responsibility she has been handed since signing a late contract with the Perth Scorchers ahead of WBBL|10. Hoskin has played 10 innings this season, bowling 30 overs, and has taken seven wickets with her best innings grabbing 2 for 10.
