The night was highlighted by L-G’s Jobee Warde taking home the senior football best-and-fairest after dominating performances for the grand-final-bound Bombers.
The Leitchville-Gunbower contingent added two more best-and-fairests to its trophy case with Amy Walton taking out the award in A-reserve and Milla Ryan earning the honour in the under-13s.
Ava Hamilton was runner-up in A-grade, while Carmen Dye and Lillie Taylor were runners-up in B-grade and under-17s respectively.
Warde and Hamilton both featured in their codes team of the year, with the Bomber Jye Keath joining Warde in the football side, while L-G’s A-grade coach Caitlyn Hamilton was named on the interchange in the netball team of the year.
For LBU, Bart Phillips dominated the goal-kicking charts in the reserves, his 79 goals far ahead of his nearest competition (57) with Phillips also picking up the league best-and-fairest gong.
The best-and-fairest in the 15-and-under netball was the Cats’ Cadence Major, while Remee Christian finished runner-up in the voting for 17-and-under.
The club took home the Nell McTaggart Memorial goal throwing award for most goals, putting up 4968 scores for the season.
New signing in 2024 Jess Davidson made the netball team of the year, named at wing attack, while Tyler Phillips was selected at half-forward in the football team of the year.
Senior football coach Stacy Fiske was recognised for his ongoing service to the HDFNL with a life membership.
LBU has two sides vying for grand finals in Huntly on Saturday, with the under-13 netballers and under-18 footballers earning their way into the deciders.
L-G will feature in the senior footy grand final, as well as the under-13 and B-grade netball deciders.
