Saturday’s pennant saw mixed results due to a large number of unavailable players.
Division Two bounced back from last week's defeat with a commanding 96-42 (16-0) win over Wunghnu.
Paul Glanvill’s rink, featuring top team debutant Gerald Towler, won 39-8.
Rick Bradbury continued his undefeated season with a 36-17 win, supported by Erica Walkerden’s impressive performance.
Roger Reynoldson’s rink fought hard for a 21-17 victory.
The Division Two Curlews remain at the top of the ladder going into the Christmas break.
An undermanned Division Three team faced tough conditions at Katandra West, resulting in a 47-83 (0-16) loss.
Alex Dalgliesh’s rink lost 17-18, Hardy Rennick’s rink lost 15-30, and Glenys McKay’s rink lost 15-3.
Berrigan is in eighth place on the ladder.
Unfortunately, Division Five had to forfeit their match, dropping them to third place on the ladder.
The club men’s and ladies’ pairs competitions kicked off on Sunday.
In the ladies’ event, Erica Walkerden and Gayle Reynoldson defeated Clare Harvey and Kura Goldsmith to advance to the final, where they will face Janice Graham and Val Chisholm, who moved through after a forfeit.
The men’s pairs saw some interesting match-ups in the first round.
Graeme Clements and Steve Gann defeated Peter Blake and Rob Tucker and will face Hardy Rennick and Graeme Parr in the semi-final.
Rennick and Parr advanced after defeating Jack Buckman and late substitute Chris Stock.
Rick Bradbury and Matt Hansen were defeated by Gary Seamer and Roger Reynoldson, who will play Jason Milich and Paul Glanvill in the other semi-final.

The last week of pennant didn’t go well for either Division Three or Division Five at Cobram on Saturday.
Only Mark Baldwin’s rink were able to manage the fast greens and get a good win.
All other players struggled with pace.
Once again our reliable substitute players helped us to fill the Division Five team.
Hopefully, all players are fit and healthy and ready for next year after the Christmas break.
This week will be the last barefoot bowls until January 16.
