Round seven of Murray Valley Cricket Association A-grade saw the Saints host Katamatite.

Katamatite won the toss electing to bat first.
Good early bowling from both Rory Bartlett (2-40) and Matt Whelan (3-43) had the Saints taking consistent wickets and not allowing Katamatite to build any partnerships
Luke Melville (2-17) and Jacob Bartlett (1-19) continued the sustained pressure from the Saints to have Katamatite 6-68, with Tyler Green (17) and Ben Lucas (15) the only ones to get a start.
Brayden Beaton and Ben Lukies both dug in for the Tigers.
Beaton and Lukies took advantage of any loose balls, however when Beaton was on 42 Connor Thornton (1-26) had him caught at square leg and Katamatite were now 7-107.
The Saints bowlers tried to take it up a gear, however the Katamatite tail wagged posting the score of all out for 153 in the 42nd.
Ben Lukies made 34 and Archie Erickson got 18 not out.
In reply, the Saints had a horrid start with Katamatite's openers of Ben (1-24) and Kepler Lukies (5-31) ripping through the Saints’ top order to have them reeling at 6-51.
Small partnerships from Andrew Parr and Lachie Pyle (8) and Matt Whelan saw the Saints get to 8-106 before Parr was trapped LBW for 30.
Matt Whelan kept the tail wagging with Graeme Parr before he was also trapped LBW for 31.
The Saints finished their innings all out for 126 in the 38th over with Graeme Parr 0 not out.
Katamatite won by 27 runs.
Andrew Parr picked up the Berrigan Hay and Schifferle Farming Award and Matt Whelan took home the Albury Sportspower Award.
This week the Saints travel to Nathalia for their first two day match.
Under-15s
Berrigans under-15s hosted Nathalia in their round four match.
Winning the toss, the Saints batted first.
But some very good bowling had the Saints in trouble at 5-21.
Jordan Swann (10), Jack Phillips (15) and Ollie Batten (7) batted well to take the score to 7-58, with the Saints finishing their 40 overs 7-61.
Harvey Swann was on five not out and Will Batten three not out.
It was a great batting effort by a very young side.
Jack Phillips took home the Federal Hotel Parmi Award, Ollie Batten got the Cafe Pizza Award and Harvey Swann picked up the Albury Sportspower Award.
Under-13s
Under-13s hosted Finley in their round match.
Finley won the toss, electing to bat first.
Ollie Batten (2-6) got the Saints off to a flyer to have them 2-16, however Henry Pascoe top scored with 15 and Thomas Cole getting 14 took the score to 50.
Finley’s score kept ticking over to finish their innings at 6-86, with Leroy Kortum claiming two wickets and Will Batten and Kobe Smith grabbing one each.
In reply, the Saints started well however constant wickets kept falling.
Jack Phillips (36) and Kobe Smith (12) put the Saints into a great position however they fell five runs short finishing all out for 81 in the 17th over.
The Federal Hotel Parmi Award went to Jack Phillips, Ollie Batten picked up the Albury Sportspower Award and Kobe took home the Loats Family Award.
This week the under-13s travel to Strathmerton.
Under-11s
The under-11s travelled to Finley on Saturday morning, with Finley making 150 and the Saints managing to get to 63.
The award winners were Savannah Melville who took home the Federal Hotel Parmi Award, Mason Ford got the Albury Sports Power Award and Jack Arnold picked up the Viv and Marg McGee Award.
This Thursday the under-11s host Strathmerton.
