Cobram won the toss, electing to bat, and had the Saints on the back foot.
Sean Downie took to the Saints’ opening bowlers scoring at over 10 runs an over, lofting balls all around the ground to the boundary for both fours and sixes.
Luke Melville (2-54) came into the attack claiming both Downie for 71 and Hugh Hyde for 16, both caught.
Strong bowling from Matt Ross (3-23) slowed the run rate considerably as consistent wickets began to fall with Daniel Ellis (16), Lachlan Hyde (2) and Lenny Power (2).
When Chase Hardwidge fell for 11, the Saints got themselves back into the match at 6-149.
However, Cobram's lower order was in for the grind with Jimmy Daniels (37) and Eamon Hyde (33 not out) taking the score to 9-218 after 45 overs.
Lachlan Whelan picked up 2-28 bowling at the end.
In reply the Saints batsman failed to fire, with Cobram’s slow bowlers doing the early damage.
The Saints were at 4-27 after losing Ross (3), Tristan Mears (12) Connor Thornton (5) and Melville (6).
Andrew Parr and Jacob Bartlett ticked the score to 41 before Parr (5), Lachie Pyle (0) and Bartlett (9) fell and the Saints were 8-51.
The lower order for the Saints then stepped up with Lachy Whelan (27 not out), Matt Whelan (12) and Graeme Parr (8 not out) taking the Saints to 9-104 after their 45 overs.
Cobram won by 114 runs.
Lachy Whelan picked up the Berrigan Hay and Schifferle Farming Award and Graeme Parr claimed the Albury Sportspower Award.
This week, the Saints are at home for a must win match against Deniliquin.
Under-15s:
The under-15s also travelled to take on Cobram for their first day of a two-day match.

Tom Baxter claimed the Federal Hotel Parmi Award, Harvey Swann earned the Berrigan Cafe Small Pizza Award and Dusty Ryan picked up the Albury Sportspower Award.

Tight bowling and great fielding restricted Katunga's batsmen to a total of 8-71 after their 20 overs, with Will Batten the pick of the Saints’ bowlers with 3-2 after four overs.
In reply, the Saints lost an early wicket. But a dominant partnership from Harvey Swann and Jack Phillips put the Saints in a strong position to finish 5-100 after their 20 overs.
Jack Phillips was on 42 not out and Harvey Swann 30 not out, with Dusty Ryan also retiring on eight and Rylan Gorman on one.
Award winners: Federal Hotel Parmi Award - Harvey Swann; Albury Sportspower Award - Dusty Ryan; Loats Family Award - Kobe Smith.
