It was a very warm day, but the goal kicking boots of the Saints were even hotter as they put the pedal to floor.
Keith Tallent’s right leg would be sore after he kicked an astounding 13 goals.
He outmatched Mathoura in the air and on the ground as there was no stopping him going towards the big sticks.
Hunter Surrey starred across the midfield and half forward gathering up plenty of footy from the first bounce to the last, even snagging himself a major, while Mitch Reilly used his brute strength to rag doll opposition and get his fair share of the footy.
Griffin Surrey, Rory Bartlett and Will Johnson earned themselves plenty of footy and goals up forward.
It was another terrific win by the Saints where the game was played on their terms allowing them to once again gel more as a team.

Reserves
The Berrigan reserves played tough footy to take home the four points against Mathoura.
Connor Thornton was welcomed back to the red, white and black and he repaid the Saints with five goals and some terrific bouts in the middle.
Troy Poynton joined Connor on top of the goal kickers’ list matching him with his own five majors, using his marking and forward craft to be a headache for the defenders.
Noel Baxter was again reliable as ever in the midfield, accumulating heaps of the footy and breaking the game open.
The Saints’ ball movement and playing style was far better than the previous week, partly off the back of efforts from Alex Park and first game player Ayden Good who both worked high up the ground and moved the ball forward with pace.

Thirds
It was a great way to bring back a thirds side, with a big win over Mathoura.
The young Saints’ outfit looked clinical at every turn, using each other and displaying great teamwork.
Ayden Good kicked five on debut and Lachy Whelan ran hard all game and kicked two.
It was a well-rounded, impressive game from the thirds.

Fourths
The young Saints had a dominant morning against a slightly undermanned Mathoura side at home.
The hard work at training was evident with great team play linking up down the field resulting in many goals.
There was a lot of selfless play and great sportsmanship seeing some of the Berrigan boys pull on the Mathoura jumper.
Robbie Thompson’s effort in the Mathoura backline saw him awarded in the best players for them.
Dusty Ryan kicked seven goals in the forward line while big brother Tully Ryan produced his ‘crash and bash’ footy over and over again in the centre, keeping the ball moving in the Saints’ direction.
Huddo Ware charged off the half backline with his big penetrating left foot hitting targets in the forward line as well as kicking six himself.
Trey Burns had a dominating presence all over the ground showing he is capable in any position as well as snagging himself a goal.
It was great to see the ‘Manly’ display from brothers Isaac and Mitchell, giving the Saints lots of options and helping to keep the footy moving in a forward direction with both boys claiming goals.
Senior players shared the ball around with their younger teammates to bring the whole team into the game in true Berrigan style.
The two skippers, Nick Arnold and Jordan Swann, worked well in the centre to direct traffic, with Jordan claiming 13 goals.
