It was a very wet and cold game for the Saints on Saturday.
The ladies worked hard against the strong pressure of Tungamah and gave some players great moments to shine.
We welcomed Mia Cameron in her A-grade debut and she and Miley Driscoll really stepped it up and showed great movements.
As always, we were glad to have Jodi Hawes up and really amping up her defensive skills.

The Saints had a rocky start adjusting to the slickness of the court, but once the rain started back up it seemed to help build some momentum.
Gracie Lagudi and Sam Henderson smashed out some impressive goals and displayed some great plays.
Amelia Packer, Vanessa Parr and Molly Rice worked the midcourt wonderfully despite strong defensive pressure.
Meg Brooks and Gen Taylor made the Bears work hard for each goal and helped settle the play and open up the court.

The Saints set a great pace and moved well against a well-prepared Tungamah.
We welcomed back Nell Renick after injury, and she made some amazing intercepts and really opened up the play.
Sadly, we’re saying goodbye to Fiona James, who played an incredible last game.
Chloe Hudson was flying down the court, ever a great option and there for the backup, not to mention some impressive goals.

A close-knit first half saw the Saints in front.
Unfortunately, after some well-executed adjustments by the Bears, the girls fell short in the second half.
Miley Driscoll and Lucy Pyle kept running and working the ball down the court, with some well-timed intercepts, while Gracie Rice was on fire in defence against well-versed shooters.

We had a tough hit out, missing some key midcourt players while working some new combinations with a few new faces.
Faith Nepomuceno put a lot of pressure on the defence and stopped a lot of goals.
The Bears brought strong defensive pressure, and our attackers fought hard for each goal.
Welcome to our new girls. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together!

Under-11s: Not scored
Although we had a tough opposition, our littlest Saints played a great defensive game which resulted in many turnovers in Tungamah’s goal ring.
Lacey Morgan and Charlotte and Emma James had their work cut out for them while our midcourters worked hard to deliver the ball down our end.
Despite not scoring, our girls did not give up and held their heads high.
Their unwavering positivity and enjoyment of the game keep showing as they improve each week.
