Tocumwal’s netballers had a great start to their finals campaign, winning five of the matches they contested at the weekend.

Tocumwal A-grade were unfortunately defeated 36-29 by Strathmerton, but wins were secured by B-grade, C-grade, under-17s and under-15s teams.
A-grade: Tocumwal 29 def by Strathmerton 36.
The Toc players came out hard, executing the game plan to a tee.
With precision passing, dynamic play, strong intercepts and accurate shooting, we were leading at half-time.
Scoreboard pressure wasn’t enough to scare Strathy off. They kept fighting and pulled back the lead, making it a tough fight to the end.
It was a disappointing loss for the Toc players after a year of huge growth within the team.
We are thankful for the support from those that made this season possible - players, coaches, team managers, bench and junior players. It has been a ripper.
B-grade: Tocumwal 39 def Mathoura 32.
The Toc players hit the court with intensity and passion, ready for a tough game against Mathoura.
Everyone worked together, giving first, second and third efforts to make sure the ball was safely delivered to our shooters.
A whole team effort from the first to the final whistle resulted in a well-deserved win.
C-grade: Tocumwal 44 def Rennie 28.
It was a great start to the finals campaign, slow and steady, making the most of every shot.
Defenders were awesome, having hands in everything that came down their end.

Under-17s: Tocumwal 53 def Jerilderie 45.
The girls gave everything they had, and their determination and teamwork got them over the line in a game they will remember.
They are encouraged to keep fighting, as the finals battle has only just begun.
Under-15s: Tocumwal 29 def Strathmerton 27.
After a slow start, the girls lifted and smashed it out in the last quarter to win.
